Welcome!

As a mama to two pit bulls, as well as a rescuer of many more, I have had a chance to really get to know this amazing breed of dog. You could not ask for a more loyal, loving, intelligent dog than a pit bull!

I encounter people on a regular basis who are just disgusted with me, because I have pits and small children. How dare I bring such a vicious animal around my precious babies?? They are right, how dare I expose my precious four legged babies to these vicious, ignorant humans! One of my children learned to walk holding on to the collar of a pit named Fats. He would creep along patiently while she toddled along beside him. When my youngest children are playing, our Dixie is never more than a few feet away, watching over what she considers to be her children. And our Rebel, still a kid himself, is right there playing with them.

And even worse, we are in the middle of forming a dog rescue. Although the business end of the rescue is still in the works, the rescue part is going strong. Since 6,000 pits are euthanized EVERY DAY, there are a lot of them that need help. So there is a good chance that you will find at least one pit or pit mix here at any given time.

I wanted to start this blog as a way to showcase good pit media as well as share stories of pits who have been rescued and gone on to good lives, and pits that need someone to rescue them. And as a way to educate people about this wonderful breed. Our Dixie is an ambassador for our breed, we take her almost everywhere with us, and she has changed many minds about a pit bulls temperament! But it's not enough, it will never be enough, until Breed Specific Legislation is ended and these beautiful dogs can live in peace!
