This sweet little girl was in a shelter that has a very high kill rate, and a shelter that will not adopt pits or pit mixes to anyone. She was brought in with a collar on that had a heavy piece of log chain on it, and three days later she was still wearing the collar and chain. She lost a ton of weight in those three days too because daily feeding isn't a priority in this so called shelter!
Somehow, the fact that she has a lot of pit in her wasn't apparent to the shelter staff, so I was able to adopt this poor girl. The first thing to go was that collar! She has a forever home now, with a wonderful mommy who adores her and is getting her fattened up at an amazing rate. She didn't even spend one night with us, she went to her forever home the same night we saved her from the shelter. She is getting the vet care she needed, and all the good food and love she can take! Just had to share a successful pit rescue, she went from a scared, abandoned dog to a happy member of a family!
